In continuation of my previous article, where I discussed about having a professional approach towards presenting Holiday gifts for coworkers, I further present some valuable tips and rules for office gift giving.

As a general rule, for all your coworkers, present to them the appropriate gifts which you would normally do in office, and for your closest friends, it s better to present gifts to them after working hours, away from the office.
If the coworker is your personal friend and you also see him / her outside the office, then it makes sense to give him a personalized gift, but you should do it when you are away from office. If you present gifts to you friends in office, then other coworkers might also expect the same kind of gifts from you, whereas you might be planning to present some other kind of gifts to them. So, this above mentioned point is quite important while shopping for Holiday gifts for Coworkers and Friends.

One important point to remember while presenting Holiday gifts for coworkers, is that you should not single out any of your particular coworkers to present gifts. You should plan to give gifts to all your coworkers. This will further boost your image as a professional, unbiased executive. Furthermore, it will also enhance your relationships and friendship with everybody.

You should present gifts to coworkers to show your appreciation, not to win any favours from them. If you genuinely want to give gifts, then, by all means do so.
Giving gifts with the intention of asking for some favour would not be appreciated by your coworkers, and instead it may harm your reputation in office.
Do keep in mind that presenting Holiday Gifts for coworkers is all about sharing your joy and happiness with them. This should not be converted into some sort of business transaction.

It is pertinent to always keep in mind the likes and dislikes of the person to whom you are presenting your gifts. As you are already present in the office environment and interact with your coworkers on a daily basis, so it would be beneficial for you to just make a mental note of what the other person is interested in. This would help you to select the appropriate gifts when you are out shopping.
